Elizabeth Ruth Reads From Smoke
A capacity crowd gathered in the auditorium at the University of Waterloo School of Architecture on Wednesday September 26 to hear Elizabeth Ruth read from her novel Smoke. Elizabeth also spent quite a bit of time answering questions from the audience. The evening featured live piano music from the ’50s performed by Tim Louis, a slideshow of images from that decade as well as images of the tobacco growing industry, and a prize draw. This Cambridge event was enjoyed by the participants of the 2007 One Book, One Community program.
